Toronto FC II’s complete 2023 MLS NEXT Pro regular season schedule was released today by MLS NEXT Pro ahead of the upcoming season.
Toronto FC II will open their ninth season in club history on Monday, March 27 on the road against FC Cincinnati 2 at Scudamore Field. The Young Reds will host New York City FC II on Friday, April 14 in the club’s 2023 Home Opener at York Lions Stadium. TFC II will complete regular season play on Sunday, September 24 when they host Crown Legacy FC as part of MLS NEXT Pro Decision Day.
During the 2023 season, Toronto FC II will compete in 28 regular season games (14 home and 14 away) across a 26-week span. TFC II will play 12 matches on Fridays, 11 matches on Sundays, two each on Wednesdays and Thursdays and one on Monday. At home, the Young Reds will play six matches each on Fridays and Sundays and one each on Wednesday and Thursday.
All TFC II home matches will be played at York Lions Stadium, located on the campus of York University in Toronto, for the second straight season. Matches will be open to the public and ticket information will be shared at a later date.
With the addition of seven new clubs this season, the Western Conference will consist of 14 clubs, while the Eastern Conference will have 13. TFC II will compete in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference, alongside Crown Legacy FC, New England Revolution II, New York City FC II, New York Red Bulls II and Philadelphia Union II.
The majority of TFC II’s regular season matches, plus all Decision Day matches, playoff matches and MLS NEXT Pro Cup, will be available to watch live and on-demand on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app. The remainder of regular season matches will stream live on mlsnextpro.com. MLS Season Pass is the subscription service from Apple and Major League Soccer that is home to all MLS and Leagues Cup matches and hundreds of MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT matches.
