Toronto FC announced Thursday that the club has loaned defender Clément Simonin to Toronto FC II of the United Soccer League (USL). Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, Toronto FC retains the right to recall the player at any point during the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
Simonin, 24, is currently in his second season with Toronto FC. Last season, Simonin appeared in two MLS matches, but missed the majority of the year due to an injury.
Toronto FC II travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on the Charlotte Independence this Saturday, June 4 at Ramblewood Stadium with kick-off set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
