Toronto FC II fell at the hands of the Richmond Kickers 2-1 on Wednesday night.
The Reds jumped out to the early lead as Aidan Daniels finished off a great attacking phase. Malik Johnson streaked down the wing outpacing the Richmond defense before swinging in a cross for Shaan Hundal. Hundal laid the ball off for Daniels who fired home his first goal of the season.
However, the hosts equalized just 90 seconds later as midfielder Yudai Imura fired in a rocket into the upper 90 past Angelo Cavalluzzo. The score remained level at one into the halftime break.
Just five minutes into the second half Richmond jumped ahead off a TFC II own goal. The final ball went in off right back Brandon Onkony.
Cavalluzzo did well to keep the Reds in it as he made a couple of key stops late in the second half. However, the Young Reds were unable to find the equalizer. Luca Petrasso made his USL debut coming on as a 78th minute sub.
