The 401 Derby will make its final appearance of the 2016 season this Sunday as Toronto FC II take on FC Montreal at 4:00 PM at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
There will be plenty of reasons for fans to make their way to the OSC on Sunday. Not only is it the final 401 Derby of the season, but also TFC starting keeper Clint Irwin has been loaned out to Toronto FC II for the match. “We’re looking to try and get him some minutes,” added head coach Jason Bent, “ try to get him back into rhythm and first team contention.
In addition, newly acquired players Ricardo John and Nathan Hodge will both be available for selection on Sunday. “It was a long process but it is nice to finally be here,” said the Trinidad and Tobago international Ricardo John.
The Young Reds will be looking to bounce back after a difficult result against the first place New York Red Bulls II. In the previous matches this season Toronto FC has won on the road and drew the last match at the OSC.
FC Montreal will be coming into the derby match red-hot. Montreal has won a season high three straight games. They have scored 10 goals during the stretch.

Anthony Jackson-Hamel: The Canadian international has been red hot recently. The Quebec City native has scored a goal in each of his last three matches. Jackson-Hamel has also played for Montreal Impact this season playing 5 games and scoring 1. He has 6 goals in just 9 games this season.
Alessandro Riggi: The USL veteran has made 43 appearances for FC Montreal over the last two seasons. The 22 year old has been an important piece to the Montreal team this season. He has registered 4 goals and an assist in 19 games this season.
