Toronto FC U-17 Academy was defeated by New York City U-17 Academy 2-1 in the third game of the Generation adidas Cup today at BMO Training Ground.
The Reds took the lead through Mauro Lulli in the 39th minute. Lulli registered his tournament-leading fourth goal of the competition. TFC was only able to hold onto their lead for 11 minutes as NYCFC scored in the 50th and 72nd minutes. The game-winning goal for NYCFC was scored by Eligio Guarino on a perfectly-placed a free kick from just outside the top of the box.
Toronto FC finishes the group stage with a 2-1 record.

New York City goalkeeper Max Pfaffman made two saves in penalties following the defensive stalemate.
